Conny began her career at a very early age as a fine artist. From the age of 15 she was selling her designs and interior illustrations to local magazines and by her late teens was quickly increasing her clientele base with full scale portraits some of which included award winning architects and Senators. But soon her passion for all things science fiction and fantasy crept in to her realistic portraits until she finally made the decision to follow her own style of work (a blend of gothic fantasy and pin up). To her surprise her client base continued to grow, demand for her private studio work increased, sending her work into the homes of European and US collectors, and after some prodding from an editor at Paper Tiger to attend her first Convention in 2002 she found herself in a whole new world and whole new demand. Winning the 2002 National Sci Fi Art Prize for Tempest, her first published work eventually landed on a book that the following year won a Ditmar and since then can be seen on the covers of Altair, Wakefiled Press, ASIM, Continuum, Kink-E as well as being included in a best of pin up annual in Aphrodisia. But most importantly, she is still able to maintain the private commission work which is her first love and allows her to work with her beloved pin ups.
