Daniel Govar has a degree in Imaging and Digital Art from University of Maryland
with a focus on Interactivity, Animation, Traditional Film and Illustration. Daniel
developed two award-winning animated series called Eclipse and Chi-Chian for
the SyFy channel in 2000 and 2002, the second under director/musician Voltaire.
Daniel co-founded the website ThereAndBackAgain.net, a Tolkien/Lord of the
Rings website dedicated to illustrating all facets of the world created by J.R.R.
Tolkien. It has garnered numerous awards and has been seen in worldwide
publications, such as Entertainment Weekly and TV Guide.
He has illustrated over 15 book covers (ie. Seekers of Dreams, From Witch to
Wicca, etc.) and in 2010, Daniel’s sci-fi epic comic Azure was published by DC
Comics, which is now available via DC and ComiXology’s digital apps.
He is currently working on a guest comic for False Positive, working on a creator-
owned project about a family of djinni, and creates hundreds of private
commissions and paintings each year. He is also a proud boxer owner.
